The Spring Series of classes will run from May 19th to June 23rd. The yoga-style classes are led by a physiotherapist and customized for people living with and rehabbing from neurological conditions and injuries. The courses provide personalized instruction and exercise adaptation in a fun, social, small-group setting.
For those who have not taken the classes before there is a mandatory individual assessment to ensure the participant is placed in the appropriate class. The 45 minute session can be booked between May 11 – 15.

We are pleased to announce a new course we feel will be very useful for those living with Parkinson’s Disease.
The series of 8 classes follows the effective Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery approach (PWR!Moves) developed by Dr. Becky Farley, a physical therapist, neuroscientist and Parkinson exercise specialist. These classes directly target foundational skills shown by research to become impaired in PD and that interfere with everyday mobility.
Taught by our own Neuro-Ability physiotherapists who are certified in PWR!Moves instruction, the course involves two parts:
One individual, 1 hour session with the physiotherapist instructing the series. You will be assessed and receive personal instruction to the specific PWR!moves that will allow you to maximize results. This session will provide you with a personalized strategy to pursue during the group classes and at home.
Eight group classes (1 hour each) taught by Naomi Casiro, one of our Neuro-Ability physiotherapists who is certified to instruct PRW!Moves
The individual session must be completed by May 27th. The group classes will run from June 3rd to July 22nd, 2015.
